The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is one of the largest arts marketplaces in the world, attracting thousands of arts industry professionals who come to find shows and discover talent – and we're here to help you meet them.

What is Fringe Marketplace?

Fringe Marketplace is a programme to support professional work that is presenting at the festival to over 1,800 programmers, presenters, agents and screen industry from across the UK and all over the world.

It’s for artists and companies who are operating or beginning to operate professionally outside of the context of the Edinburgh Fringe and planning to share their work beyond the festival, ie through touring commissions, creating collaborative partnerships and / or active in developing appropriate work for screen.

The platform gives companies, artists and promoters the opportunity to showcase their work and provide detailed information about their specific onward ambitions and show requirements to help programmers discover and work with them.

Fringe Marketplace offers services to connect Fringe venues, artists and arts industry to get Fringe shows on stages and screens outside of the festival. It includes: 

  • the chance to showcase your work via the Fringe Marketplace platform; the industry facing tool that provides visiting programmers with detailed information about Fringe shows that are ready to be shared beyond the festival. 
  • the opportunity to opt into the complimentary ticket request service and receive requests for visiting industry to see your show 
  • access to the Fringe Marketplace industry delegate list and bespoke advice from our Artist Development team 
  • an exclusive series of events to help support you and your objectives in the lead up to and during the Fringe.

Why submit your show?

Every year thousands of arts industry visit the festival to find shows and connect with talent. They engage with the Fringe Arts Industry Office to get support navigating the work on offer and pursue potential future partnerships and collaborations.

Arts industry professionals who have proven booking power and capacity to provide opportunities can use Fringe Marketplace to discover work appropriate to their needs, giving you an opportunity to sell your show directly to them. Fringe Marketplace makes it easier for programmers, agents and screen industry to find you and lets them understand more about your show’s technical requirements, IP and target audiences.


Although the platform is visible only to industry who are accredited with the Fringe Society Arts Industry Office for Fringe 2025, you will have access to a live link of your own profile, which we encourage you to share more widely within your existing network. After submitting, your profile will be live on Fringe Marketplace until Spring 2026. 

Who should submit their show?

Participants submitting shows should be prepared to provide detailed information about any of the below:

  • touring and development ambitions 
  • touring requirements 
  • rightsholder specifics 
  • writers’ contact details. 

If you belong to a professional company and feel confident that your show is a good reflection of you and your work, take a look at the Fringe Marketplace submission criteria (.pdf) and submit your details.

If you’re coming to the Fringe for the first time independently as a semi-professional, amateur or student company then taking part in the Fringe Marketplace probably won’t be the right route for you this year. We will review all applications and provide you with honest guidance if we think another service is going to be more beneficial to you at this stage. 

What information you'll need

Here’s the information you’ll need to submit your show to Fringe Marketplace:

  • A professional headline image, which will sit alongside your listing. This doesn’t need to be the same as your registration image. The image should be 16:9 ratio (ideally 1600x900px), or at least in landscape orientation and in a JPG, PNG or TIFF format.
  • Key show details – you’ll have access to this information during show registration.
  • Clearly stated ambitions for your work.
  • A sense of your target audience (and suitability for different international markets if seeking international touring opportunities).
  • Touring technical specifications and details.
  • Clarity on who owns the rights to the IP of the work.
  • Digital assets, if you have them, as these really help industry to get a sense of you and your work. However, you can always submit these later via [email protected], so don’t let that hold you back from submitting your work now.

Once your show has been approved, you will receive updates on key events and services to keep you in the loop and ensure you’re on the right track for August.   

Fringe Marketplace will launch on 27 May and be available to industry until spring 2026. Join by 16 May to ensure your listing is included!

Frequently asked questions

Yes! Once you’ve hit submit on your submission you can email [email protected] to request any changes or updates to your listing.

Yes! At a minimum, you need to submit the mandatory information; any updates and changes to your listing can be requested through [email protected]. Do remember to update your listing with any assets later, as these really help industry to understand your work.

Yes! Over 1,200 industry from all over the world have access to Fringe Marketplace and they’re looking for international touring companies and opportunities.

We’d recommend filling out the mandatory information (much of which you can nab from your show registration) alongside any further information that your feel supports your submission and demonstrates your suitability for the platform. When you’ve had more time to consider the listing, you can submit any changes to the team at [email protected].

If your show is eligible for inclusion on Fringe Marketplace, this is already covered by your show registration fee for the Fringe itself – there are no additional costs to pay. Check the Marketplace eligibility criteria if you're unsure.
